Fostering Green Leadership Skills for SME Leaders: Training in Rotterdam
The Green ELEMENT project recently held its second training session in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from April 9th to April 11th, 2024. Hosted by Nefinia, the training aimed to equip SME leaders with essential knowledge, skills, and competencies in the green business leadership sector. A total of 32 participants attended the training, including SME leaders from partner countries, accompanied by representatives from their respective organizations. The program provided valuable insights into green business leadership and served as an excellent platform for exchanging experiences, sharing best practices, and networking.
The training curriculum was carefully crafted based on the outcomes of the project’s implementation phase. On the first day, participants received an overview of the current business landscape and explored the potential impacts of climate change. They also delved into the key knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for effective green SME leadership. The second day focused on EU measures for sustainable practices and strategies for creating sustainable workplaces within SMEs, emphasizing the importance of green relational capital.
On the last day, participants engaged with modules focused on enhancing visibility and crafting a green image, as well as exploring Green Structural Capital. They also had the chance to explore the Green ELEMENT platform firsthand, evaluating its content and structure. With interactive presentations, hands-on activities, and a wealth of educational resources, the training provided an innovative and invaluable experience for all attendees. Through this training, we aim to equip our future Green SME Leaders with the essential skills and tools to foster sustainable mindsets within their operations.
